A Neal Ball

John and William Neal (father and son) were the first music publishers of any note in Dublin. They published five collections of Country Dances. There is one surviving copy ‘A Choice Collection of Country Dances‘ of 1726 and it is from this volume that the dances here recorded have been selected.

This album contains 24 dances including longer versions of ‘Marlborough’, ‘Squirrel’, ‘Hoop’t Pettycoat’ and an extra track ‘Portsmouth’ which are not available on the CD.

The original CD Booklet as a PDF is included when purchasing the whole album.
